TabTV: Men’s Football Crossbar Challenge

Men’s Football won their varsity match, but could they hit the bar?

Last night saw the completion of this year’s Football varsity, with the Men’s team winning 3-1 and the Ladies narrowly missing out on penalties.

It was the first time that the ladies had played a varsity match over 90 minutes and they fought valiantly for the whole match.

The event had been causing controversy earlier this term after Leicester City F.C. declared that the King Power Stadium could not be used for the event as it had been in previous years.

Naturally, the rumour mill started churning and suggested that Leicester City had denied that players the chance to play on the pitch because of the teams place at the top of the Championship table.

Just a few days before last night’s matches The Tab joined up with the men’s team for a quick spot of Crossbar Challenge. Here’s how they got on…
