The University of Leeds now has its very own set of custom trainers

The Otley Run – an infamous pub crawl or a set of trainers?

Air Forces, Fila Stompers or even the humble Crocs, shoes are the life and soul of a Leeds student.

Fancy some new trainers to wear for your Caffè Nero visits on campus? The Sole Concept is offering a brand new collection of designs inspired by major universities in the UK, with colours and logos to show them off.

Obviously, we’re going to be biased and say that The Leeds edition is the best, but they have also released a fair few, so you can grab yourself a pair of trainers inspired by your uni, no matter where you study.

The Sole Supplier describes the “Degree-Worth Design” as being “inspired by some world-famous universities.” They hope to convince the US shoe giants to manufacture versions of their university style shoes, for you beautiful people to purchase.

Humbly named “The Otley Run”, The Sole Concept describes the custom Air Max 97s as having “mixed shades of green ripple lines and red reflective piping, with a hit of red at the laces for an understated, yet attractive, finish.

“The Nike Swoosh branding completes the look, celebrating the University’s big social scene with another playfully loud footwear design.

Danny, a second year Architecture student told The Leeds Tab: “I’m simply delighted by the colours, despite the Christmassy look in October. I’d give them a 6.5/10.”
