Keir Starmer lived in the poshest Leeds Uni halls, Charles Morris, as a fresher

Always had him down as a Henry Price man myself

Labour leader Keir Starmer has revealed he lived in Leeds Uni’s stereotypically posh Charles Morris halls as a fresher.

While the Corbyn-replacing wannabe PM has so far been coy about his time as a law student, he divulged the detail on a Zoom call with students today.

Of course, with no Tab back in the 80s, we’ve no idea if the fancy halls – boasting flat screen TVs and larger than usual rooms – was anything like its bougie self back in Sir Keir’s Charles Morris heyday.

Starmer studied a Law LLB degree at Leeds, graduating with a first in 1985. Like many Charles Morris students nowadays, he came to Leeds from a private school – however it only became fee-paying while he was attending. He was the first in his family to graduate from uni.

It’s unknown which specific block or room Sir Keir stayed in. However, if his time in the city shaped his love of hair gel as much as it did his love of left-wing politics, perhaps a lingering smell remains.
