Mass cigarette break to be held on Leeds uni steps in protest of uni smoking ban

Calling all smokers

| UPDATED

Students are planning a mass cigarette break this Friday on the Parkinson steps to protest the Uni of Leeds campus smoking ban.

The University went smoke free this August for the health and wellbeing of students. Now students and staff can't smoke anywhere on campus between 8am and 6pm.

But one student is calling on smokers who feel "victimised" and "outcasted" by the ban to stand with them and take a cigarette break on the Parkinson steps.

A post on Leeds Uni Tickets by "Liv Laugh Love" (fair) says: "We will be meeting in solidarity on the steps of the Brotherton Library on Friday at 1pm to enjoy an on mass cigarette break.

"If you feel victimised or outcasted by the ban on the blem then please join us!"
