A 26ft Christmas tree made of BUTTER is coming to Leeds

Stephanie BennettMade from 500 packs of butter, a Christmas tree will be placed in Leeds city centre next month. As part of a promotion, Lurpak will be creating a 26ft high tree from December 1 in Briggate.

Passing pedestrians and shoppers will be able to try little treats around the tree. Staff will be giving out mince pies, yule log, roast ham and other edible Lurpak-based nibbles. There will also be free recipe books available to any interested in trying something new this Christmas.
Four times the size of your average Christmas tree at home, it’s going to be rather impressive. It took three weeks to create and is currently touring the UK.
