Over 100 people sang ‘All Star’ by Smash Mouth on the Parkinson steps today

Stephanie BennettBelieve it or not, over 100 people turned up at the Parkinson steps today at 5pm to sing All Star by Smash Mouth, the song that rose to fame after Shrek that is now a meme.
The eager students turned up because of The Tab Leeds’ Facebook event, over 2,500 people said they were going to attend and over 12,000 marked that they were interested.
Unfortunately 2,500 people didn’t turn up, probably thinking people in Leeds wouldn’t turn up, but this is Leeds, so of course they did.
Crowds began to gather just before 5pm
Leeds has just developed its latest meme. Taking it one step further than singing Africa by Toto, All Star is sure to be on everyone’s minds in the days to come
