A dead body has been found near Brudenell Avenue in Hyde Park

It was found at 9:17 this morning


Police have confirmed that a dead body was found in Hyde Park this morning. It was the body of a man who had collapsed outside of a house on Royal Park Avenue. The local residents woke up to find the area cordoned off and a crime scene tent to cover the body from view.

The cordoned off section of road is the section of Royal Park Avenue that connects Brudenell Street and Brudenell Avenue. The police are not currently treating this incident as suspicious.

Residents were questioned for up to three hours by police as investigators attempted to unveil the the events that led to the man’s death. The police have confirmed that while the body in question was not a student at the University of Leeds or Leeds Beckett, before details can be released the next of kin must be informed.
