The Great Escape is hosting The Asylum, the city’s first escape game that is only suitable for over-18s. The fictional game will take place in a former Victorian mental asylum that has been abandoned since the 1980s.

Participants will blunder around eerie sights including old photographs of tortured patients, mouth traps, strait-jackets and other strange devices. The animated game is suitable for between three and eight players at once, and has been rated 5/5 for its scare factor and 4/5 for difficulty. It takes around 55 minutes to complete.

The scenario-based game is located in Atlas House on King Street in the city centre, and already offers five themed escape games based on fantasy plot. Participants have to solve puzzles to unlock the games’ secrets.
