There was a fire at Pryzm last night

The club still hopes ‘to open for business as usual later’

Firefighters were called to the Leeds nightclub in the city centre after a fire broke out around 9:45 pm last night (20/04) in the smoking shelter. Two crews from Leeds and the one from Hunslet arrived on the scene and the fire had spread to the roof.

They were able to douse the flames, but around 10% of the roof was damaged.

A spokeswoman for Przym Leeds said that: “We had a small fire at the club last night that was contained within a bin and very quickly extinguished thanks to our effective sprinkler system.”

She continued: “Subsequently, we have some water damage to the back room areas of the venue but hope to open for business as usual later. The club is due to open tonight at 10pm for its weekly Superbull night.”
