Everything happening in Leeds for Halloween

But is anything scarier than not getting a Fruity ticket


Halloween is one of the best nights out of the year, and with it falling on a Monday it means we get a whole weekend of events. The Tab’s rounded up everything that’s going on, from club nights to Zombie Survival events, so you can plan to weekend to perfection.

Club Nights

Orderly Conduct presents Suicide Squad Weekender, Tiger Tiger, Friday 28th 

Ok, so Tiger Tiger isn’t known for being the best night out in Leeds. But, it’s Suicide Squad themed, it’s only a fiver, and it’s a pretty decent way to kick off your Halloween weekend. So put together your best Harley Quinn costume, find your Joker, and give it a go.

Fruity Horror Show, Union, Friday 28th 

If you don’t fancy hitting up Tiger Tiger this Friday, then get down to Fruity instead. It’s pretty much the usual Fruity, just with Halloween costumes, but who doesn’t love a good night out at Fruity?

Metropolis Halloween, Union, Saturday 29th 

Leeds Union are really going all out for Halloween this year, working with Metropolis to bring a killer line up. There’s performances from ANOTR, Barely Legal, Big Narstie, Chris Lorenzo, DJ SKT, Monki, Redlight, and a headlining set from Wiley. Unlike most events at the Union, it’s definitely not just one for the freshers.

Projekt Halloween, Projekt, Saturday 29th and Monday 31st

Projekt are definitely going all out for Halloween this year, with two events across the weekend. The first is on Saturday, while the second is on Monday, for all those lucky enough to not have to be in uni on Tuesday. Incredible, gruesome outfits are obvs encouraged, and guest DJ’s are set to make an appearance alongside residents PBH and Harley Sanders. There’s also gonna be pyrotechnics and confetti canons so, you know.

Inzombifest, Mission, Saturday 29th 

This year, Mission is somewhere you want to be on Saturday night if you want to party until Sunday morning. Never one to shy away from a killer Halloween night, Inzombifest is an all night music festival with 10 different DJ’s spread across four different rooms. With Tom Zanetti, K.O. Kane, Lance Morgan, Danny T, and more, the only thing you need to bring is your ticket. And don’t forget to dress up.

Hell on Earth, Oracle, Saturday 29th 

Often overshadowed and forgotten thanks to Call Lane being right around the corner (and closer for most students, unless you were unlucky enough to end up in Liberty Dock), Oracle is one of Leeds slickest venues, and they’re determined not to be ignored come Halloween. Spooky and ghoulish decorations are promised for their transformation into Hell on Earth, and tickets are essential for a night of gory fancy dress and a host of special guest DJs.

Back to Basics: Back to Black Halloween Party, Church, Saturday 29th 

The hallowed doors of this once coveted club opened its doors once more last month, and Halloween is one of their first chances to show that it’s just as good as we used to know it to be, if not better. The club secured Louie Vega and Ralph Lawson, so it looks set to be a pretty good night. Also, it’s in a church. What more do you want for Halloween?

Federation presents: Creepshow, Warehouse, Saturday 29th 

Federation returns to Leeds for their first ever stand alone Halloween night this Saturday. With music in three different rooms providing sounds from Federation’s past, present, and future, as well as entertainers, dancers, and DJs, Federation promises no tricks, only treats.

PRISM presents Halloween, Mint Warehouse, Saturday 29th 

Prism are known for throwing some of the best nights in the Leeds clubbing social calendar, and Halloween looks set to be no different. Join them as they not only transform Mint Warehouse into a spooky spectacular, but also throw DJs like Joris Voorn and Solardo into the mix.

Propaganda: Halloween Spooktacular, The Attic, Saturday 29th 

Propaganda is best known for their alternative, indie vibe, obvs. But this Halloween they’re leaning towards the creepy side of things to bring the ultimate night out. There’s still alternative beats, but there’s also horror hits, creepy fancy dress, and plenty more. Even if they’re not your usual scene, they’re definitely worth checking out this Hallows Eve.

Church Presents: Halloween, Church, Monday 31st 

Never one to shy away from a big event, Church is putting on two crazy nights full of Halloween spectacular. It’s undergoing a full ‘Night of Horror’ makeover, alongside some incred fright night entertainment, and a surprise special guest.

Regression Sessions: Halloween Special, Canal Mills, Monday 31st 

Regression Sessions is the place to be if you’re looking to get nostalgic and naughty this Halloween. They’re heralded for being one of the wildest nights out, with their party games and ball pits, and it only gets better when you throw creepy Halloween fancy dress in the mix.

Quids In: Halloween Fright Night, PRYZM, Monday 31st 

PRYZM knock the whole, creepy partying thing out of the park this year. There’s themed rooms, spooky interiors and, of course, fancy dress, as well as theme drinks and great DJs. Join the young, the fun, and the undead this Halloween for some serious partying, and some of the cheapest drinks in the city.

Living Dead Halloween Festival, Union, Monday 31st

The union always does some of the best Halloween nights, and this year is no exception. All five rooms are being transformed with hunting decorations, as well as live actions for a truly immersive Halloween experience. Just don’t forget your costumes.

Events

Armely Mills Ghost Hunt, Industrial Museum, Friday 28th 

Kick off the Halloween weekend with a promisingly spooky trek around the Oldest Mill in England. There’s opportunities to take part in a glass divination, table tipping, and a human pendulum, as well as paranormal equipment such as theremal imaging, spirit boxes and K2 meters. You also get complimentary food, drink, and halloween treats, so it’s almost worth going just for the free food.

The Exorcist with Halloween Disco, Kirkstall Abbey, Friday 28th

Known for being one of the scariest films of all time, The Exorcist shows a 12 year old girl being demonically possessed, and her mother tries to rid her of her torment with an exorcism by two priests, one of whom she passes her demons to with fatal consequence. The creepy gothic Kirkstall Abbey arches are the perfect backdrop, and it’s followed by the Spooky Sneaky Disco, so don’t forget your costume, and enjoy the cocktail bar, on-site makeup, photo booths, and street food vendors.

Infection: Zombie Survival, Thackray Medical Museum, Saturday 29th 

Thackray Medical Museum are really getting into the spirit of things, planning on putting on an event to scare even the bravest in the city. Infection: Zombie Survival is is being held in the haunted ex-hospital and workhouse, where a deadly virus will break out across the museum, causing the undead to roam the halls. Your task is to find a cure, and not die. There’s also a bar at the end, which you’ll no doubt need.

A Nightmare on Elland Road, Elland Road, Saturday 29th

Leeds United’s famous football ground is being taken over for a night that’s all about going old school. The line up includes Monster Boy and Jodie Aysha, as well as DJs Danny Bond, SBS, DJ Jordz and more. A much better night than Halloween spent on Elm Street that’s for sure.
