Justin Bieber is moving to North London and he’s made the right choice

Imagine bumping into him on the Northern Line

Justin Bieber is swapping the palm tree-lined boulevards of Los Angeles for the even leafier suburbs of North London. If that surprises you, it shouldn’t. Here’s why he’s made an excellent decision.

JB’s new home on The Bishops Avenue in Hampstead

He can for long walks on Hampstead Heath

Bieber’s new address on The Bishops Avenue is home to oligarchs, foreign diplomats and the super duper wealthy but one of the biggest perks of Biebs’ new crib is undoubtedly its proximity to the sensational Hampstead Heath.

The Heath – as its known by locals – is a huge ancient park covering about 790 acres. It’s the perfect escape from London life with its woods, wildlife and ponds. It also happens to be an excellent (if not entirely predictable) destination for days out with Bae.

And then there’s Kenwood House

JB will also live just a short walk from the beautiful Kenwood House – a former stately home open to the public, which offers some of the best panoramic views of London and also features in the 1999 film Notting Hill.

One can easily imagine Justin taking a stroll with his dog in Kenwood, or following in the footsteps of intellectual giants like Karl Marx, who would regularly visit the Heath while living in the London.

There’s so many great pubs

If Justin Bieber is going to come over here and live in our country, he better show some respect for our favoured national pastime, namely: getting a pint down the local.

Fortunately for the Beeb, Hampstead is absolutely awash with prime drinking spots. Bieber’s nearest boozer is the Spaniards Inn, a pub that’s been around for a measly five hundred years and boasts a beer garden “grand enough to rival the great Heath itself.” Rumour has it the great novelist Charles Dickens used to drink at Spaniard’s so it only seems fitting that a man of similar artistic prowess, responsible for creative masterpieces like “Sorry” and “Boyfriend” should get his bev on at this establishment.

But he’d probably end up going out in Camden

If the immortal lyrics, “Cause girl we’re gonna party all night. Gonna party all night. Gonna party all night. Gonna party all night” are anything to go by, I’d say Justin Bieber likes partying all night.

In which case, he should probably get himself down to nearby Camden where he’ll be spoilt for choice for nightlife.

Sure, Camden once had a reputation for gritty edginess, and the younger, more innocent Bieber of the ‘Never Say Never’ years would probably have steered well clear of it. But we’re living in the post-‘Where Are U Now” era where Bieber can pull of peroxide dreadlocks and talk openly about drugs, so I think he can hack a bit of Camden.

Proud is the perfect clubbing venue for Justin if he wants to get up-close and personal with his teenage girl fanbase. It’s a favourite of all North London adolescents that have recently turned 18 and are ready to get lit.

There’s loads of culture

Justin Bieber’s newly adopted neighbourhood has long been a haven for all sorts of bourgeoisie intellectual types. So rich is this tradition that each year Hampstead and Highgate host their very own literary festival. Wouldn’t it be nice if this year they invited their newest A-list resident to come along and give a talk? Perhaps he could do a short reading of the following extracts from his critically acclaimed autobiography “First Step 2 Forever: My Story,”:

“Singers aren’t supposed to have dairy before a show, but we all know I’m a rule breaker. Pizza is just so good!” -page 15

“Now I’m really glad that I speak French, because, let’s face it, girls dig it when a guy speaks French. They call it the language of love, and that ain’t no coincidence. Plus, I love my French fans! Très jolie!” -page 60

“If I can do just one-tenth of the good Michael Jackson did for others, I can really make a difference in this world.” -page 177

Welcome Justin. We hope you enjoy your stay.
