Leeds students are third worst at dedicating time to studying

Leeds students are the third worst in the country for dedicating time to the reason they went to university, to study.

According to new data released by the Natwest Student Living Index 2016, Leeds students spend 27.8 hours per month studying, a figure only beaten by Liverpool (26.49 hours) and Leicester (24.32) in terms of how little time students from UK universities spend doing their degree.

The average student dedicates 30.77 hours to the library each month with Cambridge students spending the most time studying with 47.62 hours, followed by Oxford in second place with 40.49 hours.

Spending time studying is fair enough, £9k a year is a lot of money to spend on education without actually doing any studying. But your university days are supposed to be some of the best of your life, spending all your time with your head buried in books isn’t a tale to tell the grandkids.
