Forget Otley Runs, there’s now going to be a Greggs Run in Leeds

There are 12 Greggs stores in total

When life gives you lemons, you create lemonade. When Leeds gives you Greggs, you create a Otley Run styled food crawl.

Thats right, there’s now going to be an official Greggs Run across all 12 stores.

The subtle bakery can be found around basically every corner in Leeds. With the price ranging from 50p to around £1.30, it’s set to be a lot cheaper than the usual Otley Run.

Overall the entire thing should cost around £13, which is just what you’d usually spend in Hyde Park Pub alone.

The rules of the crawl are simple: You must buy 1 food item in each store and eat it all within 1 day, though drinks do not count.

Can you survive the Greggly run?

Last year David Cowlishaw completed the Greggly run in three hours and 25 minutes.

He indulged himself with chicken bakes, bacon sandwiches,  pizza slices and the classic sausage rolls.

It was described as ‘one hell of a journey’ but a great sense of achievement.

David wrote: “I did this partly because of severely wanting to procrastinate from revision, but also to do something ridiculously “Leedsy” before I left uni. Next time I’m with a visitor to Yorkshire’s finest city and they remark ‘Hey, there’s a lot of Greggs here’ I can tell them of my triumph. It’s also going on the CV.”

Doing this run can show persistence, motivation and a whole lot of determination. Which is what any employer is looking for.
