Duncan ClaberLast night Leeds was in a state of shock as a loud bang echoed round the city.
People reported that their houses shook, and mistook the loud bang for an explosion of some sort. It was chaos.
These rumours were later dismissed as it was revealed the cause of the noise was two RAF fighter jets breaking the sound barrier in as they responded to an emergency as a civilian aircraft from Paris to Newcastle drifted off course.
As always in our social media age people were quick to log onto social networks to react to the event.
