Leeds grad gets phone call from Mick Jagger

The Rolling Stones front man called him from Mexico

Former Leeds student Sammy James had a chat with Rock And Roll Hall Of Famer Mick Jagger.

Now a producer at Absolute Radio, Sammy chatted with rock legend Mick Jagger in preparation for an upcoming interview.

It may have only been for a brief 15 seconds, but he still felt “surreal” to be talking to such a famous rock star. He said:

“As a producer it’s my job to set up the phone call and make sure everything is working. As Mick was calling us from Mexico, it meant answering the call from him. The conversation was pretty much all about whether his phone reception was any good, which it was. Then I handed over to Danielle.”
