You can walk from campus to town without going outside

But probably don’t bother

If you go to Roger Stevens via the red route, there’s a way of getting to town without stepping foot outside.

Also, if you’re one of the privileged few who reside in Charles Morris, you can get from your flat to town this way too.

You don’t have to get that Barbour jacket wet – sort of beyond the point, but you know.

Beloved Red Route has many secrets

Once you’ve made it into Roger Stevens walk straight ahead to the door of lies.

It says “No Thoroughfare”, but luckily someone was coming through so we managed to sneak in.

If it’s locked, you’re screwed and you may as well just go to town the normal way, like any other normal person.

Now it gets confusing. You’ve got to walk to the end of a long corridor and find a lift that will take you down to Level 8. Try not to get lost.

Once you’re at the end of Level 8 you have to go outside, which is not possible to do without walking through some labs.

The walkway is covered so technically it’s half indoors.

After this, you’ll enter the Medics’s cave (Worsley).

Let’s just pretend this is inside

The Medics have their own Cafe, obviously. If you walk to the left and then round the side of it you’ll enter the Dentistry area.

Go down the stairs to level 5 and across a bridge, then you’ve entered Leeds General Infirmary.

To get to town, all you need to do is look lost – which won’t be hard because you will be.

Just ask a member of staff how to get to the Brotherton Wing, then once you’ve found it look for the nearest exit.

Voilà. You’re at Millennium Square, just in time for the Christmas Market.

All-in-all it will add half an hour onto your journey to town, so it’s not worth it.

But who doesn’t like a good adventure?
