Leeds climbs to 14th place in Good University Guide

We’re also runner-up for University of the Year

Leeds is now one of the highest rated educational institutions in the country, coming in at 14th place in the Sunday Times Good University Guide.

Last year’s 17th place put us firmly on the heads of rival red-bricks such as Sheffield and Birmingham and this year we’ve smashed through the ranks even more.

The guide has also named Leeds as runner-up for University of the Year award.

The rankings are based on student satisfaction combined with teaching and graduate prospects.

Some may say that there are no prizes for coming second, but snatching the runner-up award for the second year running is no mean feat.

Our very own Vice-Chancellor was chuffed, rightly recognising the “excellence of the staff and students at Leeds.”

This award comes shortly after being ranked 87th in the QS world university rankings 2015/16.
