Mac Book Pro: Radio 1’s Annie to headline Leeds Ball

I haven’t heard of ‘Kitten and the Hip’ either

This year’s Leeds Ball will be headlined by Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac, Ella Eyre and Sub Focus.

The end-of-year party at the Union will also feature Kitten and the Hip and DJ Sets from Propaganda and Andy H.

The announcement has had a mixed reception from would-be ball-goers.

English fourth-year and culture vulture Bob Palmer said: “It is pretty shit. I mean, Sub Focus are OK but a bit irrelevant.

“The only plus side is that Ella Eyre has great hair.”

The reaction on Twitter has been more positive.

Early bird tickets are on sale for the night priced at £29, with general sale tickets costing £34.

LUU have clearly gone all out to cater to every student’s whim, with attractions like a photobooth, fire show and roller disco.

“Sumptuous décor” is also promised, presumably in an effort to take people’s minds off the fact they’ve spent thirty quid going to a party in the Union building.

Leeds Ball will also feature a fun fair, laser quest, headphone disco and cocktail bar.

Last year’s ball was headlined by Rizzle Kicks, so today’s announcement has generally been seen as an improvement.
