Leeds voted 9th unhealthiest city in Britain

We love takeaways

Leeds has been voted the 9th unhealthiest city in Britain according to a new survey.

Carried out by Upbeat energy drink, the survey asked UK adults whether they enjoyed eating unhealthy food. Here in Leeds we just can’t get enough, with 19% of people saying yes.

In a city with 65,000 students bingeing on burgers and booze, who would have thought that would be the case?

The infamous Zulfi’s doner

Belfast, Sheffield and Manchester were also listed as some of the unhealthiest cities in the UK, amongst others:

It could be worse, you could be in Belfast

Childhood studies Third year Nicole McCracken was unmoved by the results. She said: “This didn’t surprise me at all. There are soo many places to eat in Leeds”. Right you are, Nicole.

Economist 4th year Jenny Cumiskey said: “They’ve clearly never been in the Edge. There’s not a fatty in sight”.

What better way to end the night than a trip to Royal fish bar for some gourmet chicken?

Having tried Leeds’ most unhygienic takeaways, we can wholeheartedly support the findings.
