He was treated for concussion on Woodhouse Lane and taken to hospital for more treatment.

An eyewitness reported that as a result of the incident, the whole of the bus’s front window was smashed.

Danny’s manager James Williamson told The Sun: “Danny’s spending the night in hospital. X-rays and scans will be carried out overnight.”

“He’s obviously in pain. He was running across the road and just misjudged the speed of the bus.”

The group of friends had adopted a ‘Wizard of Oz’ theme for the event, beginning at Woody’s just before 2pm, with Danny’s teammate Will Addison tweeting “And so it begins”.

Taking a casual pace, they were at the Packhorse five hours later and then shortly afterwards the accident occurred.
