Cinderella lovers rejoice: Here are all the pantos happening in and around Lancs this year

You can go and see five different performances of Cinderella if you so wish


With the impending arrival of Christmas, pantomimes are once again on the rise. As a pivotal element to the Christmas season, dramatic societies all around Lancashire are preparing their pantomimes for this Christmas. Here are all the Christmas pantomimes you can go and see around Lancaster this winter, sourced from LancsLive.

Cinderella – The Lancaster Grand

Lancaster’s own Cinderella will be showing at the Grand from Saturday December 3rd through to the 30th of December. Whilst Christmas Eve is already sold out, performance times vary between 11am, 2.30pm, 3pm, and 7.30pm – depending on the day. Standard tickets cost £10.50 plus fees, whilst concessions and child tickets are priced at £9.50 plus fees. Tickets are available to book here.

Robin Hood – The Dukes, Lancaster

The other pantomime that will be shown in the city this year, with varying show times from November 24th to December 31st, Monday to Saturday, is Robin Hood at The Dukes. Tickets can be booked here from £18 to £22.

Cinderella – The Globe Theatre, Blackpool

Cinderella at The Globe Theatre will be taking place from November 26th until Christmas Eve this year, with twice daily shows Wednesday to Sunday, taking place at different times throughout the day. Tickets cost £12 per person, and can be booked here.

Cinderella – Blackburn Empire Theatre

The Empire Theatre’s Cinderella will be showing from November 26th through to New Year’s Eve, showing both matinee and evening performances on weekends in December until the 19th, where the company will begin twice-daily shows Monday to Saturday.

Tickets range from £12.50 to £18.50 and can be booked here. The show promises an all-star cast with the likes of Voice contestant Lucy Kane and Britain’s Got Talent’s JezO. This performance promises to be “relaxed”, with fewer instances of loud noises and lighting effects.

Cinderella – Winter Gardens, Morecambe

Another Cinderella performance, slightly closer to Lancaster, will be showing in Morecambe from December 10th to December 24th with twice-daily performances taking place at either 1pm or 2pm and 5pm or 6pm (depending on the day). Tickets range from £10 for children, and £12 for adult entry. Tickets are available here.

Cinderella – Lowther Pavilion, Lytham St. Annes

Cinderella at the Lowther Pavilion will cost between £16 and £20 to attend from the 5th to the 30th of December, excluding Wednesdays and Christmas Day. Performances take place at varying times throughout the day. Book your tickets here.

Sleeping Beauty – Blackpool Grand Theatre

If Cinderella doesn’t take your fancy, Sleeping Beauty will be showing in Blackpool from December 2nd to January 1st. Tickets start from £22 and the show has another all-star cast, featuring Emmerdale’s Hayley Tamaddon, among others. You can buy tickets here.
