Body of unnamed man found outside high school in Morecambe

The body was found on the morning of October 30th


A body was found outside Morecambe Bay Academy this weekend, reports LancsLive.

On October 30th, Lancashire’s emergency services received a call regarding an unconscious man in the grounds of the school.

Police responded to the call at 8.30 am, where they were then able to confirm that the man was dead. This was followed by the pitching of a police tent to tend to the scene.

The death is currently being regarded as “unexplained”, although investigations are being conducted to try and ascertain the circumstances that lead to the situation.

Speaking to LancsLive, a spokesperson for the Lancashire Constabulary said: “We were called shortly before 8.30am today (Sunday, October 30th) to a report that a man had been found unresponsive in the grounds of Morecambe County High School.

“Officers attended the address on Dallam Avenue and sadly confirmed the man was deceased. The death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are on-going to try and establish the circumstances.”
