The Growing Club to host ‘Angels Den’ on Lancaster campus

The event will be taking place in Health Innovation One

The Growing Club will be hosting its second “Angels’ Den” event at Health Innovation One.

The event will be taking place on November 30th from 6-9pm.

Angels’ Den is an adaptation of popular TV show “Dragon’s Den”, in which “budding female entrepeneurs” will pitch business ideas to “angels” from in and around Lancaster.

Those involved in the pitching have been undergoing The Growing Club’s business start up programme named “Roots and Shoots”.

The young entrepeneurs will be pitching for “a sponsorship to a valuable business service or for seed funding to support their start-up”, the funds for which were raised in a fundraiser which took place in May of this year.

The first of the Angels’ Den events was a great success, and this one hopes to be just as triumphant. With each participant guaranteed a part of the grant, the evening is described as, “a great opportunity for businesses in the local area to support entrepreneurs,”

As well as the pitching part of the evening, the event promises  “mulled wine, a light buffet, and some very fine company.”

Those interested in attending the event can purchase tickets for £5 here.
