Four fire engines attend conservatory fire on Bowerham Road
The fire was visible from the 100 bus route this morning
One person has received medical attention following a conservatory fire on Bowerham Road this morning, October 20th, according to the Lancaster Guardian.
The fire, which was visible from the 100 bus route, took place in Bowerham, an area between the University and the town.
Four fire engines were present at the scene of the fire at 11:12am. The fire engines in attendance were from Lancaster, Morecambe, and Bolton-le-Sands.
Six breathing apparatus, two hose reels and a positive pressure ventilation unit were used to extinguish the fire, the Lancaster Guardian reports.
Bowerham is home to many Lancaster University and University of Cumbria students. Some students reported smoke from the fire entering their own houses on Bowerham Road.
Medical attention was given to one person at the scene of the fire.
