Peaky Blinders is filming in Williamson Park

Lancaster’s Williamson Park is confirmed to be playing host to filming of BBC One’s Peaky Blinders, for what is its sixth season.

The area surrounding Ashton Memorial was cordoned off on Tuesday 23rd February, with signs advising members of the public to stay away if they do not wish to be filmed for the television drama.

This sign was placed by the production company Tiger Aspect, which produces shows including Peaky Blinders, My Mad Fat Diary, and Jack Whitehall: Travels with My Father. Peaky Blinders was confirmed to have resumed filming after being put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Facebook page of Williamson Park confirmed that the location was being used by the production crew of Peaky Blinders:

Areas in Lancashire have already been used as filming locations for Peaky Blinders, and it appears as though the cast and crew of the show have returned to shoot scenes for the highly anticipated sixth, and final, season of the critically acclaimed drama.

Other images of Ashton Memorial show that lighting crews have descended upon the monument, having set up the industrial lights used when filming the show:

Lancaster residents reported that the Memorial was being lit up more brightly than usual, with the bright production lights being visible from as far as one mile away. As confirmed by Williamson Park, the production crew will be using the iconic Lancaster location until early March.
