Charlie FabreWe gave you two weeks to vote for which building you think is the ugliest building in Lancaster and the results are unexpected, to say the least. However in this competition, first place isn’t where you want to be, and the rhyme “first the worst” is very accurate.
Interestingly enough, there was one building who received no votes, not one. The lucky building to have been spared any criticism is The Sports Centre Extension. We guess you all disagreed with our opinion that it is a black cube of darkness. Fair enough.
The runners up in this not-so-prestigious competition were County Main in third place (you got lucky County Main) and Centre for Ecology and Hydrology in second place.
And finally, in first place, as a shock to us all, is Bowland Tower!
Congratulations Bowland, you’ve finally won something. We’re so sorry Bowland Tower, you are the shining beacon of Lancaster University, an icon. Don’t listen to the haters, the criticism just goes to show how much of a legend you actually are.
