Here are all the best vegan restaurants around Strand campus

Calling all herbivores at Strand

| UPDATED

We all know that the most important part of being a vegan is telling everyone that you are vegan. Unfortunately London’s best vegan places are in Hackney and Notting Hill, but we’ve found some hella good vegan approved joints around Strand, Virginia Woolf and Drury Lane campuses that are fab for meat eaters too. All are Instagrammable as hell and delicious, trust us we know.

By Chloe

The recently opened fast food chain ‘By Chloe’, is minutes away from Strand in Covent Garden. It is the first of the chain to open outside of the US and features swinging chairs, a very instaworthy ‘Guac Save the Queen’ neon sign and an entirely plant based menu (including fish and chips, I know…crazy). The quinoa taco salad and pesto meatball sub are our tried and tested personal faves.

Wildfood Cafe

Wildfood Cafe is also just around the corner overlooking Neal’s Yard in Covent Garden. Its vegan and vegetarian raw-centric food menu has literally everything you could ask for, from an assortment of herbal teas to a sweet potato brownie. The smoothies are fab; their Facebook page describes them as "sexy smoothie blends to make you feel orgasmic", an interesting way to describe a smoothie, but one that gets a thumbs up from me.

Farmstand

Wanna go somewhere you can actually eat with your non-vegan friends? Farmstand serves all kinds of meats and veggies and are all about being healthy and sustainable and serves up some great vegan goodies, sweet and savoury alike. Most their foods avoid gluten, dairy and added sugars and are GM free. Their coffee is incredible.

They’re exactly what it stands for: simple, healthy, organic and tasty. Although these guys aren’t entirely vegan, they throw together the best ingredients and serve up creative bowls of goodness. Their breakfasts are to die for (pancakes on pancakes on pancakes). Eating clean couldn’t have been easier.

These are just our favourite vegan friendly neighbourhood eateries, look out for pop-up snack stalls around Covent Garden. We're also on the look out for Vegan places around Guy's Campus, give us a DM on our Facebook page if you've got ideas!
