King’s comes 50th in the world university rankings

We’re seventh in the UK too

King’s College London has been ranked the 50th best university in the world in the 2016 Shanghai rankings.

The only other UK unis to come ahead of King’s were Cambridge, Oxford, UCL, Imperial, Manchester and Edinburgh, placing King’s seventh in the UK. With a total score of 31.6, King’s came behind of fellow London unis, UCL and Imperial, who scored 43.5 and 41.6 respectively.

American unis dominate this list, with Harvard, Stanford and Berkeley taking the top three spots. Harvard has the highest score of 100, a huge 25.3 points ahead of the runner up

King’s are used to receiving high rankings, as it was recently announced that you are in the top one per cent in the world. However, after having been ranked second worst for student satisfaction in the National Students Survey, maybe being one of the best in the world isn’t enough to keep you all happy.
