Have you seen this, Ed? Turns out King’s London ALREADY EXISTS

Could be a problem

There’s been massive controversy from students and staff over proposals to change the name of KCL to simply “King’s London”.

But university bosses have tried to justify the rebranding by claiming that, despite nearly 200 years of history, the current name confuses international applicants, who aren’t sure if KCL is a university or sixth form college.

Now in an embarrassing revelation, it turns out that there is already an institution called Kings London – and it is, in fact, a further education college.

Oh dear via

Located in Beckenham, South-East London, and about eight miles away from Central London, Kings London prides itself on providing university preparation courses. It also reckons it’s the “ideal place to learn English”.

Still, at least nobody will be confused.
