Vandals have scratched out a sign for the Muslim Prayer Room on Guy’s Campus.

Following the controversial decision to pass the BDS motion, Guy’s campus has been subjected to anti-Islamic vandalism.

The sign, giving directions to the prayer room, shows the word ‘Muslim’ crossed out.

And it’s the latest protest in response to Tuesday’s decision on BDS.

The aftermath of the BDS vote has seen tensions running high between students on campus.

As The Tab reported yesterday, over 100 KCL students have signed a petition against BDS in an appeal to the trustees of the university.

And now, in this aggressive move, this appears to be one further protest against the decision – arguably attacking the wrong people.

Sami Steinbock, President of the KCL Israel Society spoke out against the attack, saying :

“I’ve been told this is in the aftermath of the BDS shitstorm. Let me be clear. This isn’t ok. Whoever did this should be ashamed. Not on.”

Obviously.

Shaheen Sattar, a 2nd year International Politics student told The Tab:

“BDS is not, and never will be, a conflict between two religions”.

As of yet, the culprit is unknown, and there has been no further vandalism on signs at other campuses.
