3% of Kent students will be victim to sexual and violent crimes
According to new statistics
The Complete University Guide has found that three per cent of people at Kent are likely to be a victim of violence and sexual offences.
They also found that burglary and robbery rates are at 0.7 per cent.
The Complete University Guide has taken the number of crimes reported from July 2015 to June 2016 per one thousand residents within student areas. These crimes include burglary, robbery and violence and sexual offences.
They found that the University of Kent had a total score of 3.5 per cent for all crimes reported, meaning that three per cent of people are likely to be a victim of crime.
Kent students are one percent more likely to be victims of violence and sexual offences compared to those at Canterbury Christ Church.
Last year, the Tab reported that there had been 91 sexual offences that year.
These statistics are based on all residents and not just students, the results are taken within wards or electoral divisions weighted by student population.
