Hull University Union Elections: The Results

Only 16 per cent of us voted

The results of the HUU elections were announced yesterday evening in Asylum. It was a bad night for RON, despite the student-led campaign “Ron 4 Democracy”, which encouraged the voters to Re-open nominations. Many were displeased at the amount of positions who only had one candidate running.

This academic year he has been working in the Union as the VP Education.

Congratulations to all those who were elected but also to all those who ran. The poor 16 per cent turnout is perhaps the most worrying thing about this election. The newly elected sabbatical team have to work on re-engaging the student population with the work of the Union.
