BPOC: The final

You’ve voted in your masses, and there’s a tie at the top as to who has the cutest pet.

Street-wise fish troupe Swim-Shady, Rayhana and Black-Eyed P are vying for top-spot with Topsy the hi-fiving puppy.

Both Topsy and dem fishes have just under a quarter of the vote each – 24.68 per cent – so we’re placing the power back in YOUR hands.

Here’s a reminder of the two contenders:

Topsy

Owner: Connie Fredrickson, second year American Studies

Pet type: Dog

Age: Five months

Possibly the cutest puppy ever, Connie got Topsy in the summer. She told The Tab: “She’s a puppy we got in summer and she has already learnt how to high-five.”

She is a “wonderful loony”. A talented dog, Topsy is able to pirouette whilst barking whenever it’s dinner time. Who said dogs can’s multi-task?  If she won, she’d be so excited she’d start pirouetting down Cottingham Road.

Swim Shady, Rayhana and Black-Eyed P

Owner: Rob Dennis, second year Politics

Pet Type: Fish

Age: Unknown, but owner Rob has had them since the beginning of term

These three fish belong to Rob Dennis. Despite the hip-hop reference in both Swim Shady and Black-Eyed P’s names, the fish are yet to exhibit any notable hip-hop talents that have made their namesakes so famous.

So, at the moment, the chances of them forming the world’s first fish hip-hop troupe are pretty slim.
