Jedward are performing in Polo on Easter Sunday
Name a more iconic duo, we’ll wait
Ah Jedward. To anyone who isn’t familiar with the lovable Irish rascals they rose to a somewhat mediocre fame after appearing on the X Factor in 2009.
They are what some would call a ‘novelty act’, but what I would call damn fine entertainment.
The quiffed duo have made occasional reappearances in the public eye since their X Factor days, appearing on Celebrity Big Brother in 2011 and having their own X Factor spin off show ‘Jedward: Let Loose’. They even represented Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2012 with their song ‘Lipstick’. What a fucking belter.
So, if you, like me, love Jedward with all your heart and have been a loyal fan of the twins despite their slightly rocky career, you will be delighted to know they are set to perform at Glasgow’s very own LGBTQ+ nightclub – The Polo Lounge.
Is there a better combination than hyperactive Irish singers and the fun-loving carefree setting of the best gay bar in Glasgow?
The duo are set to perform on Easter Sunday (16th April) as the headliners for Polo’s ‘Alice in Wonderland’ themed Easter weekend. The best part? You don’t even have to book in advance, just pay on the door (or whip out your pink card) and you’ll be in for the night of your life.
