How to spend your Sunday off

Make the most of it

If you happen to be like me and work almost every Saturday and Sunday, then you will know how much of a big deal it is to have one of these days off – it’s like a leap year.

So, on my Sunday off I thought about some of the many ways you could spend yours, too.

Hungover

This would be the perfect day to spend lying in your bed all day, dying. I suppose it could be a waste of a day, but it’s worth it. Knowing you can go out and get absolutely hammered on Saturday night because you have that Sunday to do nothing… all day. Appreciate it.

Get up fresh and early

The opposite of staying in hungover. Rise and shine early bells before 12pm at the latest, crack a window, let the fresh air in, jump in a shower then get cooking a Sunday breakfast with a big fresh glass of OJ. The freshest you could ever feel.

Go on a walk

Obviously this would be depending on the weather, but if it is a crisp and clear Sunday – why not? If you live near the country it’s the perfect opportunity to grasp a bit of culture and take in the nature and fresh air. Or for you townies, you could visit the West End’s Botanical Gardens.

Watch a film (Netflix and Chill)

As opposed to going a walk if the weather isn’t too great, have a movie day. What’s cosier than lying in your bed watching good films all day? Chances are, the Back to The Future trilogy will most likely be playing on ITV2.

Read a book

Never got time to relax and read a book? Your Sunday off is the best time to. Sit in silence with a good book that you can sink right in to.

Go shopping and grab some lunch

Preferably, get up nice and early to do so as shopping centres are usually the busiest during weekends. Normally you would be jealous you’re stuck in work, watching everyone else do this. But now’s your chance.

There are so many more ways you could spend your free Sunday, but I think these are some of the best. Do whatever makes your happy and enjoy it – I certainly will.
