Spotify Soundclash race is heating up

Ultimate Frisbee are coming in second

For the past month or so, Facebook has been full of different sport teams asking their pals/relatives/probable strangers to follow their team on Spotify.
The aim of the game is for each sport team to create a playlist, and to try and get the most followers for it.
The winners of the Soundclash win £10,000 for their uni sport team, and the next five runners up win £2,000.
For development of their sports teams, new equipment, and better training, money like this would be a huge help to any sports team involved.
Stephen McNally, the Glasgow Spotify student brand manager, spoke to the Tab about the importance of the competition:

”Speaking from the position of someone who is currently on the committee of a sports team here at the university, this competition provides us and all other clubs in the UK with an exciting way to earn up to £10,000, which is really not an easy thing to come by! The money could go a long way with regards to expanding the opportunities and equipment we as a club could provide.
“It’s a great competition to be involved in so please get behind all the clubs that have entered!”
For Glasgow, Ultimate Frisbee are the ones to watch, they’re coming in second, just behind the Warwick Rowing team. If they win, they can claim the £10,000 for their team.

Ultimate Frisbee are currently in 2nd place

GUSWPC are currently just outside the top 10, in 12th position. They are just 7 outside of being in the winning positions; if they reach this, they can win £2,000 for the club.

These two teams are currently the most likely to win money from the competition, so need all the support they can get.
Other teams in the top 50 are GUWHC and Glasgow uni Lacrosse.
