Doctor Who a graduate of Glasgow

Wonder if he ever went to Viper

Saturday’s series finale of Doctor Who gave Glasgow Uni a cheeky mention as it turns out, the time lord got his doctorate here back in 1888.

The proof is in the 50-things-you-didn’t-know-about-doctor-who pudding

The factoid was first revealed by the second doctor decades ago, played by Patrick Troughton.

But the doctor’s degree was again brought up this week by latest companion Clara, much to the excitement of Whovians and Glaswegians alike.

Twitter livened up at the mention of our lovely uni, and who can blame them.

Lovely bit of Glasgow Uni pride

The current incarnation of The Doctor, Scottish actor Peter Capaldi, is also a graduate of Glasgow School of Art himself.

All the time and space in the world and this is the uni he picked, now that’s saying something.

If only we could hop in a TARDIS when it all gets a bit much.
