Student landed in custody after swinging for bouncer

Fisticuffs outside Viper last night

A Glasgow student was taken into police custody at Viper last night following a brawl with the club’s bouncers.

Around 2am, just minutes before the club closed, onlookers watched as: “This guy got upset because he thought one of the bouncers tried to trip him up.”

A second-year was passing as the brawl kicked off and said: “The guy swung for one of the bouncers and they all jumped him and held him until the police came.”

People inside were prevented from leaving though the main doors until the police arrived and escorted the student from the club.

But no one inside even noticed the brawl, with another onlooker saying: “I don’t think anyone inside even realised they were stuck in there.”
