Commotion on the way to Tar Barrels as coaches don’t turn up

Hundreds were left stranded on their way to the tar barrels event after their coaches didn’t turn up.

Urban Treats booked eight coaches to leaves for Ottery St Mary at 6pm, but only three turned up 45 minutes later.

Urban Treats is the company that left their phone number all around campus selling tickets, and the man with the bright orange umbrella outside the forum.

Another two hours before they are told to leave

People were told that since there were not enough coaches they would have to wait for the three to get back.

Eventually the people who didn’t make it onto the first set of coaches were told they wouldn’t be getting to Ottery St Mary, and no refund would be given.

One shocked customer said: “They’re the same price as the tickets from the Guild, I didn’t realise it would be such a shambles.”
