The guild is giving free coffee to people with 8.30 lectures

Those of us unlucky enough to have four or more 8.30s in a week will be given free coffee.

The giveaway comes in the form of a termly £20 voucher that can be used at any outlet around campus, and will be linked directly to your student card.

The giveaway is in response to the unpopular introduction of the early starting lectures, starting this September.

It’s not worth it for the coffee

These four eight thirties only have to occur once a term to qualify, and those who qualify have already been emailed.

No dice, even if your timetable looks like this every week

It seems a rather paltry reward though given the extreme stress induced by the early start – twenty pound a week might be more reasonable.

Tom Hayward said: “For someone with as heavy a caffeine addiction as me 20 pounds will barely last a week, let alone a term.”
