Exeter Monopoly is finally here

We didn’t even make it on the blue squares

| UPDATED

Earlier this year, we reported that Exeter was getting it’s own monopoly but they couldn’t find anywhere shit enough to be the Old Kent Road. But board game fans have a reason to celebrate as a solution has been found. Step forward Stepcote Hill.

The issue was overcome and the game hit the shops this week and is soon to be flying off the shelves as students buy presents for their unwanting families, because everyone wants to play a game set where little Theo goes to university.

How many Christmas days are going to be ruined by this?

The gameboard does have some surprising placements, like our famous quay taking the place of Whitechapel. I’ve been to Whitechapel and I don’t really see the comparison, Mr Monopoly clearly does, however.

The greatest shock of all has to be the university only making it on to the greens, clearly the locals do not deem us worthy of the blues. At least we beat the college though.

The Cathedral makes it to the top spot, just beating the Guildhall, maybe when it completes it’s renovations Hasbro will reconsider.
Though it is no surprise the Cathedral won, as it is where the Prime Minister likes a good photoshoot

Beats Mayfair any day of the week

You should definitely buy it if your student loan can stretch the RRP of £24.99, your future children will love to hear you wistfully bang on about university, as if playing the game with your parents wasn’t tedious enough. Those poor children.
