Exeter bags a place in the top 15 unis in the UK

Where are you Plymouth?

The clever University of Exeter was ranked the 14th best uni the UK tonight.

The Times Higher Education league tables for 2015-2016 placed us 93rd in the world – way ahead of muppets in Loughborough.

Last year the university ranked 154th in the list – so we can be proud Exeter has sailed into the top 100 this year placing us higher than the riff raff at the University of Leeds, Cardiff and Liverpool, to name but a few.

The Times rankings lists the best universities across the globe according to teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.

This achievement comes after Exeter was given the reputable place in the elite top 10 universities in the UK earlier this month, another title to get our Exonian hearts pumping with pride.

Holly Hodges, a second year studying Psychology, said: “93 is now my lucky number.”

Alys Reed, a second year studying English said : “Rankings are only one way of judging a university.

“What is more important are our experiences here as students, which are fantastic’.

Ellie Crinall, studying Bio Sciences, said: “It’s our extra curricular activities putting us on the map as well.

“Calling on my own experiences the work that Raise and Give and Exeter Student Volunteers is doing is contributing to the academic success of the uni, placing us higher every year .”

Exeter’s great ranking has got them in giggles
