Local mother guilty of glassing another woman in EX4
She had drunk a litre of vodka
A night out on the tiles took a turn for the worse for local mother of two Tammy Western who glassed another woman in a dispute over a former boyfriend.
Western, who has two children aged five and six, admitted wounding and was sentenced to 16 months in jail, suspended for two years.
The judge said: “For the sake of your children, I shall suspend the sentence.”
In a feat of unmatched consumption Western saw off a litre of vodka before heading out to the iniquitous nightspot.
She claimed not to have remembered a thing, and when shown a photograph of Pring’s face denied that she could have done such a thing.
The attack which took place in EX4 left the victim, Amanda Pring, with minor cuts to her eyelid and chin, and broken glass in her hair.
She did not require hospital treatment.
Judge Francis Gilbert, sentencing, said, “Fortunately for both of you, the glass did not cause nearly as serious an injury as it might have done.
“For that reason, and the sake of your children, I shall suspend the sentence”
