Further flooding and strong winds are set to hit Exeter

The Met Office has warned of more heavy rain due to hit Exeter on Sunday and Monday, combined with strong winds.

As the rain will be hitting already saturated land and full weather, the Environment Agency have added that there could be further flooding.

Sunday is predicted to be the wettest day, with rain expected to hit all day.

Train company First Great Western said it expected the weather to cause more disruption to rail networks over the weekend, with customers being given the option of travelling on Saturday instead due to the severe rain.

The windy weather is set to continue into next week, where gusts of around 45mph have been predicted.
