Exeter University proves increasingly popular among potential students

Exeter University is increasing its popularity, with multi-million investments, high rates of student satisfaction and position in 8th place on the Times league table leading to a 36% upsurge in applicants.

Despite the increase in fees, over 2.1 million potential students visited the University over the past year, after it was named Sunday Times University of the Year.

With applications rising to ten times the sector average, the University have recruited extra academic and support staff in preparation.

The standard of applications has also risen, with Liz French, Communications Officer and Media Relations Manager at the University, commenting: “We have recruited an extra 600 Home Undergraduate students this year, and more than half of new entrants achieved AAA at A-Level or better”.
