Local authorities are searching for a man who, on September 21st, stole a Stagecoach bus in central Exeter and drove to Powderham Castle.

Considered to have previous experience of handling such transport, CCTV footage clearly shows the man using bus lanes to reach his destination, where he is thought to live nearby.

The moment the man hopped on-board.

“The bus was stolen from the main city centre bus station in Belgrave Road,” a police spokesperson stated, “and recovered near Powderham Castle, Church Lane, Kenton.”

Before being recovered at around 2am, the bus was taken between 12:30am and 1:35am, which has led to the conclusion that the man was making his way home after a night out.

Anyone who recognises the individual in question should contact PC 5699 Dave Mills, based at Heavitree Road Police Station, by dialling 101 and citing Crime Number DE/13/8857.
