£1.5m to be poured into new Quay drinking venue

New quay pub to provide summer student hub

Good news for the beer-lovers out there – Exeter City Council have approved plans for a new pub-restaurant and micro-brewery on the Quay.

The abandoned 19th century warehouse, which previously housed Havana nightclub and cocktail bar Mojitos, has been bought by St Austell Brewery and renovation works are being planned for the two-storey building.

Unfortunately, the pub won’t be open until next summer, but there will be five flats available to rent on the second floor – excellent news for lazy students who fancy having a pub just down the stairs.

Adam Luck, estate director for the brewery, said: “We are looking forward to bringing a new and exciting venue to people visiting Exeter Quay.”
