The Tab Visits: The Devon County Show

The Tab get friendly with farm animals at the Devon County Show

Last weekend The Tab were invited to visit the Devon County Show.

It was much more popular than anticipated, and cars were backed up for miles around Westpoint (so much so that we decided to get off our bus and walk two miles along the motorway instead of sitting in standstill traffic!)

Eventually we arrived to find a plethora of countryside pursuits. We spotted everything you might expect to find in rural Devon:

Stylin’ alpacas

A competition to find Devon’s best sausage

Small men on very big tractors

Killer guinea pigs

People who fancy rabbits

Slightly racist depictions of Olympic heroes

Giant Cornish Pasties

Really, really cute baby lambs!

Rastafarian Sheep

And acrobatic goats!

It was good to see Devon’s original industry thriving, and we had a fun day out mingling with the Devonian locals  –  Thanks Devon County Show!
