Bless Their Stripy Socks

Exeter’s lads may look tough on the outside, but they have feelings too and they are sick of being victimised by the Timepiece bouncers.

The rugby lads are believed to be behind an online petition voicing disagreement with the way student are often treated while trying to gain entry Timepiece.

If your name’s not down, you’re not comin’ in

The petition, which has racked up 70 signatures since it went live today, asks people to show their “support for the belief that the Timepiece bouncers are unfair and autocratic”.

The petition creator claims to be “dissatisfied” with the bouncers refusing entry for “the smallest of misdemeanours” and wants the owners of Timepiece to take note.

And as if not getting into Timepiece Wednesday isn’t torture enough for a rugby boy, somebody who claims to be a Timepiece bouncer has contributed to the petition by insulting the players further.

Speaking in defence of the bouncers, he claims the players are “rude, ignorant, disobedient, awkward and more often than not…highly intoxicated”.

All is not lost though. The same ‘bouncer’ also claims that if the rugby boys start to treat the bouncers “with the same respect” they “intend to receive” they will surely “have a different opinion of the TP Doorstaff”.
