A spare tin of soup can save the day

Too many ramen noodles? An excess of orange squash? Share and care by helping support Exeter’s Foodbank

| UPDATED charity foodbank

Figures show visitors to Exeter Foodbank have more than doubled within the last year, including three times as many children.

Those in crisis are largely families suffering under the pressure of rising costs of fuel, food and household bills.

Exeter Foodbank relies entirely upon volunteers and donations to keep running.

Students may not have piles of spare cash, but there are plenty of low-cost ways to get involved.

Buying one or two extra items in your weekly shop or volunteering your time to the cause aids those in need, looks good to future employers, and can even help towards your Exeter Award. Also, you could just do it to be nice, y’know.

For more information on how to help and what non-perishables are on the shopping list for the Foodbank, visit their website.

Vouchers for the foodbank are given to those in an emergency situation with no money to feed themselves.
